The type of vest you need will depend on the type of wetsuit or drysuit you have and if your neck seals have smooth-skin or not. The Atlantis Icon HV1 is ideal to add to 1 or 2 piece wetsuits without hoods, while the Atlantis Icon V1 can be used under any wetsuit for extra warmth. 

If your vest doesn't fit properly you are compromising the warmth and comfort of your diving. Fit is the key factor and normally you will find the best-fitting vests are the ones that offer the most panels.  

You should consider the grade and durability of the neoprene you are buying and also make sure the seams are glued, stitched and taped.
